This time we will really make things more interesting. This will also give us a chance to develop more skill at techniques that are very important to piano/keyboard playing specficically as well playing music in general.

In this variation we will use alternating bass notes. The first bass note is C, followed by the top notes of the chord - E & G. Then, we drop down to the note G below the C, followed by the notes C & E. This adds a great deal of interest in the left hand part. Because the bass notes are constantly alternating it suggests a lot more "motion" or "activity" is happening in the bass also.

This technique is also crucial in other genres like ragtime (think Scott Joplin)!
