We going to pick up right where we left out with our Beginner's Waltz in C major.
This time we will add some variations to the left hand to make the music more interesting. This will also give us a chance to develop more skill at
techniques that are very important to piano/keyboard playing specficically as well playing music in general.
In this first lesson we will play our basic left hand pattern 3 times as usual. However on the fourth time we will switch to a linear single note pattern -
G, A, B which takes us back to the C - which is the root note of the next chord, the C major chord. This is a very important means of providing varation to
the left hand part. Instead of blocking out chords the whole time we can add a bit of melody with our left hand to compliment the right hand.
