Let's add a little variation to our variation!

Now that we have the simple version of the G major chord down, let's make it a little bit more jazzy. By adding the minor 7th to the left hand we get a dominant 7 chord. Further, this makes the E in the right hand a 13. If we lower the E to E-flat then we get a G-flat 13 chord.

Wow! What a great sounding V chord.
